Trip Review - W Taipei

My recent stay at W Taipei was a vibrant, luxurious experience, with top-notch facilities and excellent service from start to finish. This review covers a few key aspects of the experience that stood out. I am ashamed to say that this was my first time staying at the W brand, and I am now a fan. If I get a chance to visit Taipei again, I will definitely consider staying at the W again.

Check-In Process & Welcome Drinks

The check-in process was seamless and set the tone for the rest of my stay. The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly, making the process quick while still taking the time to introduce me to the hotel’s offerings and amenities. As a Bonvoy Titanium member, my partner and I were offered complementary Welcome Drinks each night, which added a special touch and felt like a perfect start to a stylish stay. We just had to show up at the designated time slot each evening to enjoy those drinks.

Fabulous Room

I stayed in a Fabulous Room, and it was nothing short of impressive. The room’s layout is thoughtfully designed with modern decor that manages to be both sleek and comfortable. The king-sized bed was luxurious, with plush bedding that felt like sleeping on a cloud. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered a stunning view of Taipei, which looked even more incredible at night. The in-room amenities were comprehensive, with a Nespresso machine, TWG tea, minibar, and Bluetooth speakers to set the mood. The spacious bathroom included a walk-in shower and spa quality toiletries, adding a touch of luxury to each day.

Gym (FIT)

The gym at W Taipei, called FIT, is one of the best hotel gyms I’ve encountered. It’s large, well-equipped, and features state-of-the-art machines, weights, and a functional workout area. The space is clean and modern, with panoramic windows that let in plenty of natural light, giving it an airy feel. There’s even a dedicated area for yoga and stretching, making it perfect for travelers with diverse workout preferences. Towels, water, and even workout snacks were provided, adding to the convenience.

Gym Locker Room Amenities

The hot tubs, sauna, and steam room in the men's locker room were excellent spots for relaxation after a workout or a day exploring Taipei. The facilities are immaculately clean, and both the sauna and steam room had just the right level of warmth to be soothing without overwhelming. The locker room is spacious, providing a sense of privacy, and includes extra amenities like bottled water, toiletries, and comfortable lounge seating. I appreciated that these facilities were maintained to such high standards, making them a true haven for relaxation.

Breakfast Buffet at Yen

The breakfast buffet at Yen was exceptional and definitely worth the visit. In one section of the restaurant, you can even get a gorgeous view of Taipei 101. The food selection is vast, with everything from traditional Taiwanese options to Western breakfast classics. There’s a made-to-order station for eggs and noodles, a fresh fruit bar, and even pastries that taste like they’re from a French bakery. They even have a fresh juice bar. Everything was fresh, and the service was impeccable. The open kitchen concept lets you see the chefs in action, adding to the dining experience. I found myself looking forward to breakfast each morning.

W Taipei combines luxury and modern style with excellent service, making it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the energy of Taipei in an upscale setting. I would highly recommend W Taipei to anyone visiting the city—it’s a blend of luxury, comfort, and chic that’s hard to beat.
